The Cliffhouse is a top-notch restaurant, the best in Tacoma. The food is better and more consistent than even Stanley & Seafort's or CI Shenanigan's. Every time we've been there(10-12 times), the service was outstanding. We held a rehearsal dinner there and everyone raved about the food, the view and the service. Our only gripe was, like several other of the better restaurants in Tacoma, they had a take-it-or-leave-it attitude when it came to making reservations for the rehearsal dinner. They did not want to deviate at all from the menu; ie, there was only one green salad on the menu (for $5.95)and because of what was in it, many of our guests (especially children) would not eat it. However, the Cliffhouse would not budge and make up a simple green salad or not put in some of the more bitter greens. The Cliffhouse is still one of the best restaurants in the Pacific Norhtwest.
